Amazon Music has announced the latest installment of its acclaimed Songline series, featuring five-time GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Brandon Lake. The audio edition of the docu-performance project arrives October 29, followed by the full video performance debuting November 21.
The release features nine reimagined versions of Lake’s most beloved songs, including the newly released “When A Cowboy Prays” — available to stream now [here].
Dedicated to exploring the art and soul of songwriting, Songline invites some of today’s most influential artists to reinterpret their catalog in stripped-down, intimate performances. Each episode interweaves raw, acoustic renditions with candid interviews, offering fans a deeper understanding of the creative process behind their favorite songs.
“I hope fans can see a bit of my songwriting process that happens before a song ever reaches a stage or a stream,” said Lake. “It felt really special to pull back the curtain with Songline and show not only how songs are made, but their impact on fans and the artists and songwriters that wrote them.”
