Chart-topping recording artist and songwriter Micah Tyler has released his latest single, “So Will I,” available now on various digital and streaming platforms. This release marks the sixth single from the multi-artist project, A New Heaven And A New Earth. The project, which celebrates the beauty of God’s Creation and urges believers to be faithful stewards of the world, is scheduled for its full-length premiere in June 2024.
Collaborating with Dove Awards-nominated Garrett Moshier (CAIN), who also served as the producer for the single, Micah Tyler drew inspiration for the beautifully crafted ballad from both the Old and New Testaments. Explaining the song’s meaning, Tyler shared, “The hook of the song is a little bit of a play on words from John 3:16, ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.’ If God would love this world, put this thing together, and call this thing good, I think there’s a challenge for us to do the same.
‘So Will I’ is just me going, OK, God, I want to make sure I’m worshipping you on top of these mountains that you created and from the depths of these canyons that you carved out. It’s my response to this beautiful world that you call good.”
The A New Heaven And A New Earth project, featuring various Christian artists, aims to cover a wide range of musical genres, including rock, pop, hip hop, R&B, indie, folk/Americana, and more. Other artists who have contributed to the project include Jason Roy, Phil Joel, MŌRIAH, and Aaron Cole. Each song on the project emphasizes the importance of caring for Creation and being stewards of the world that God has entrusted to humanity.
This release is part of a broader initiative within the Christian music community to encourage awareness and action on environmental issues, aligning with the biblical call to care for the Earth.
