GRAMMY®-nominated worship leader Pat Barrett has released the title track, Break Open, from his forthcoming live album Break Open, arriving March 13. Alongside the single, Barrett has unveiled a live video of the recording captured at Big Church Day Out in the UK in August 2025. Fans can listen to “Break Open” now and pre-save or pre-add the full live project ahead of its release.

“This song is long-awaited on my end, and I’m so stoked it’s out,” shares Barrett. “I’ve recorded it twice before, but it just never lined up to be the right thing or the right time. I look back, and I’m honestly blown away at how grateful I am that this song was recorded when it was, so it could be on this project.”

Referencing Ephesians 3, Barrett adds that his prayer for the song is that it would help listeners “grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ… that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

Break Open serves as the live expression of Barrett’s latest studio album, I’ve Got A Fire. While recording the studio project, he found himself anticipating the moment he could sing these songs in a room full of people. That first live experience ultimately became one of his most meaningful musical memories. The live album captures that energy, featuring several tracks from I’ve Got A Fire reimagined with the dynamic depth and joy that only a live setting can bring.

Next month, Barrett will continue on the “King of Hearts Tour” with Brandon Lake. The 50-date arena run concludes May 2, 2026, in Charleston, South Carolina.
