the media and technology powerhouse powered by its 1.6 million-strong Angel Guild — has announced that GRAMMY-nominated artist Phil Wickham will perform the lead role in the upcoming animated musical DAVID, set for exclusive theatrical release on December 19, 2025. The film is created by Phil Cunningham of Sunrise Animation Studios and will be distributed by Angel.
DAVID reimagines one of history’s most compelling stories — the biblical tale of David, the warrior, poet, shepherd, and king whose courage and devotion changed the course of nations. Blending stunning animation, sweeping musical compositions, and deep emotional storytelling, the film offers a cinematic journey through the life of a man whose faith and heart continue to inspire generations.
Phil Wickham, one of the most influential voices in modern Christian music, brings his dynamic artistry and heartfelt conviction to the titular role.
