Following her recent signing with Motown Gospel, two-time GRAMMY®-nominated artist Koryn Hawthorne has released her inspiring new single “His Favorite,” available now on all major streaming platforms. The uplifting anthem serves as the first preview of her highly anticipated new EP, Big Gospel, arriving October 2.
Produced by Lil Ronnie—known for his work with artists including GloRilla, Usher, and Britney Spears—“His Favorite” showcases Hawthorne’s signature fusion of contemporary Gospel and R&B. The song delivers a powerful message of self-worth, love, confidence, and belonging, reminding listeners that their value is rooted in being chosen and loved by God.
Written by Koryn Hawthorne alongside Jordan Dollar, Alexandria Dollar, Jeffrey Shannon, Rickey Offord, and Ronnie Jackson, the track encourages listeners to recognize the blessings found in everyday moments and embrace the truth that they are already valued.
“This song is about knowing your worth isn’t something you have to earn,” says Hawthorne. “You’re already loved, already chosen, already His favorite. I hope whoever needs to hear that today, hears it.”
“His Favorite” marks Hawthorne’s first release as a Motown Gospel artist and introduces a new era for the acclaimed vocalist. Her upcoming five-track EP Big Gospel is executive produced by J. White Did It, whose credits include work with Doechii, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, JT, and Yung Miami. The project will highlight Hawthorne’s evolving sound while staying rooted in the faith-driven message that has defined her career.
