This deeply personal album marks his 13th release and explores themes of challenging situations, facing the unknown, and the renewal that life can bring.
Earlier this year, Kirk Franklin made startling discoveries in his family history, which inspired this album. ‘Father’s Day’ features 10 tracks, including the #1 Gospel hit “All Things,” “Try Love,” “Needs,” “Welcome Home,” and “Somebody’s Son.” The album also includes guest performances from Le’Andria Johnson, Chandler Moore, Tori Kelly, Jonathan McReynolds, Jekalyn Carr, Kelontae Gavin, and Maranda Curtis.
In addition to the album release, Kirk Franklin shared a documentary titled “Father’s Day: A Kirk Franklin Story” on his YouTube channel, providing more insight into the life-changing experiences that fueled this project. With ‘Father’s Day,’ Kirk Franklin aims to inspire hope and encourage personal growth in one’s relationship with God.
