Christian pop artist Claire Leslie is stepping into a new creative arena—making her acting debut in Wonder Project’s latest series, It’s Not Like That, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The series premieres January 25th and will run new episodes through March 8th.
The drama/romance series follows freshly divorced Lori (Kristin Rusk Robinson) and recently widowed minister Malcolm (Ian Deitchman) as they navigate singlehood while guiding teens, all while questioning if their longstanding bond hints at something deeper, according to IMDB. Leslie will appear in a guest role in one of the upcoming episodes.
Sharing the news on social media, Claire Leslie said, “I’m making my acting debut on Wonder Project’s upcoming TV series, It’s Not Like That, on Prime Video. I can’t believe those words just came out of my mouth…WHAT?!? I’ve had a passion for acting & improv from a young age, and getting to step into this world with Wonder Project’s team has been nothing short of a blessing. They are as legit as it gets.”
Leslie has also had a standout year in music, releasing her debut EP Twenty Something, featuring fan favorites like “Passenger Seat,” “Scared,” and “Original.” Her latest single, “Always Mine,” dropped in October, and she recently wrapped up opening for Josiah Queen & Hulvey on the Campus Night Tour.
Fans can listen to “Always Mine” on all streaming platforms and catch Leslie’s acting debut when It’s Not Like That premieres on Amazon Prime Video.
