GRAMMY-nominated, Dove Award–winning singer/songwriter Ryan Stevenson unveils a deeply personal new EP titled The Wilderness Diaries—a raw and reflective collection born from years of spiritual searching, surrender, and renewal. More than a traditional project, the EP serves as a musical prayer journal, capturing moments of uncertainty, pain, and ultimately, transformation.

At its core, The Wilderness Diaries explores the emotional and spiritual terrain of the “wilderness”—a place of unknowing and undoing where clarity feels distant and comfort is stripped away. Stevenson reflects on how confusion, fear, and peace arrive in waves, and how surrendering control is often painful and incremental. Yet, as the journey unfolds, the wilderness becomes not a place to escape, but one to embrace.

Sharing the heart behind the project, Stevenson explains: “I entered into a wilderness chapter beginning in 2020, where God began untethering me from anything that was taking the place of fulfillment that I could only find in Him. He began stripping away every source of comfort, identity, security, and hope that could only be found in Him. It’s been an arduous journey, but a necessary one.”

Written across several transformative years, the songs on The Wilderness Diaries are intimate conversations with God—prayers, cries, deep thoughts, and quiet pleas. While some tracks may feel familiar, others are being heard for the first time. Though they never found a place on a traditional album, Stevenson notes that these songs are among the most important he has ever written.

With its honest lyricism and worshipful depth, The Wilderness Diaries stands as a testament to faith formed in uncertainty and hope refined through surrender. Ryan Stevenson invites listeners into this sacred space, praying that the songs minister to others as profoundly as they have ministered to him
