Award-winning singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and comedian Tim Lovelace has released his evocative new album, On a Different Note, now available on all streaming platforms via StowTown Records. Co-produced and arranged by Lovelace alongside acclaimed producer and orchestrator Wayne Haun (Celine Dion, Jason Crabb), the project showcases his signature piano stylings across a thoughtfully curated selection of eight American classics and beloved sacred favorites.

The album opens with “What a Wonderful World,” setting a sentimental tone for a collection that includes timeless standards such as “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” and “Let There Be Peace on Earth.” Sacred selections include the beloved hymn “This Is My Father’s World”, the rollicking gospel tune “The Meeting in the Air”, and “Garden of Praise,” a medley uniting “In the Garden,” “My Tribute,” and “Goodness of God.”

“With selections spanning America’s vast musical legacy, I like to think of On a Different Note as a sonic patchwork quilt of melodies,” Lovelace shares. “Songs like ‘Let There Be Peace on Earth’ and ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’ evoke important memories and remind us of the power of music to transcend genres and generations. I also hope my arrangement of the ‘Celebration of America Medley’ brings both joy and peace to listeners during this special year for our country.”

Commemorating the United States’ 250th birthday, the album features the standout “Celebration of America Medley,” weaving together patriotic classics such as “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” “Shenandoah,” “My Country, ’Tis of Thee,” “America the Beautiful,” and “God Bless America.” The medley highlights Charlie McCoy on harmonica—a Country Music Hall of Famer and Grand Ole Opry member who has recorded with legends including Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, and Bob Dylan. McCoy also appears on “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” and “Pass Me Not/Precious Lord,” fulfilling a lifelong dream for Lovelace.

“I started listening to Charlie McCoy’s harmonica albums as a teenager and was so impressed that I drove from South Alabama to Fayetteville, West Virginia, twice just to hear him play,” Lovelace recalls. “What an honor for him to join me all these years later for three selections on this project.”

StowTown Records president Landon Beene adds, “Whether through comedy, singing, or playing the piano, Tim Lovelace has always impressed me as a master communicator. There is something extra special about his musicianship, and I’m so honored and excited to be presenting this highly anticipated project featuring the piano side of Tim Lovelace.”

With On a Different Note, Lovelace delivers a heartfelt celebration of American musical heritage, sacred classics, and the timeless power of melody to unite listeners across generations.
