Gospel family group The Hyssongs continue their momentum with the release of “Worship Medley,” an uplifting new offering that brings together three timeless worship classics in one powerful performance. Following the release of their Horizon Records debut single, “Good News Savior,” the Maine-based family ministry returns with a heartfelt medley designed to draw listeners into a deeper place of praise.
Produced by Jeff Collins, the medley seamlessly blends “You Are Good,” “Shout to the Lord,” and “Awesome God,” creating a worship experience that builds from joyful celebration to reverent adoration. Opening with the energetic declaration of “You Are Good,” the performance transitions into an emotional rendition of “Shout to the Lord” before culminating in a stirring orchestral arrangement of “Awesome God.”
One of the most memorable moments of the release is the vocal debut of 17-year-old Makayla Hyssong, who takes the lead on “Shout to the Lord.” Her heartfelt performance introduces a fresh dimension to the group’s signature harmony and marks the first time she has been featured as a lead vocalist on a Hyssong recording.
Reflecting on the project, Richard Hyssong shared, “Along with producer Jeff Collins, we put together three inspirational songs that glorify and worship the Lord. My daughter, 17-year-old Makayla, takes the lead on ‘Shout To The Lord.’ This is the first time she has been featured on a Hyssong album. Her emotional rendition of this anthem brought tears to everyone in the studio while recording.”
He added, “With all of the noise and issues in this world, these songs will help us reflect on almighty God and bring us to the point of worship.”
