Morning Light Collective has released its new studio album “Christmas Psalms,” a worship project that explores the biblical themes of longing, hope, redemption, and the promise of Christ through fresh musical interpretations of selected Psalms.
Following the release of their debut project “Songs Have to Be Sung,” which featured new settings of Psalms 1–18, the Collective continues its mission of bringing Scripture to life through accessible and deeply meaningful worship music. With “Christmas Psalms,” the group turns its focus toward the prophetic anticipation and spiritual reflection surrounding the birth of Jesus.
The album draws inspiration from Psalms traditionally connected with the Advent and Christmas season, including Psalm 24, Psalm 27, Psalm 72, Psalm 97, Psalm 98, and Psalm 130. Each song explores the messianic themes woven throughout these passages, highlighting the hope, expectation, and cries for salvation that have shaped generations of faith.
Musically, “Christmas Psalms” blends modern worship textures with acoustic warmth, choral elements, and a wide emotional range. From moments of quiet reflection and longing to powerful expressions of celebration, the album creates a worship experience designed for both personal devotion and congregational singing.
Remaining deeply rooted in biblical language, the project offers a contemporary musical approach while preserving the timeless message of Scripture.
