Southern Gospel family trio The Hyssongs return with their uplifting new single “It’s Not Over Yet,” released via Horizon Records and available now on all major streaming platforms.
Rooted in a message of faith and perseverance, the song offers encouragement to listeners walking through uncertainty, reminding them that no situation is beyond God’s power to restore. Whether facing illness, financial struggle, or emotional hardship, the track reinforces a central message: with God, the story is never finished.
“Maybe you have had a bad report from the doctor or family member,” says Richard Hyssong. “Maybe you are struggling with finances and think that it is the end. Let us encourage you to look to God, and know that it’s not over yet. He has the final say.”
For the family, the song carries deeply personal meaning. Richard Hyssong reflects on his daughter Makayla’s early health battle, when she was born with multiple tumors and given little chance of survival. Contrary to expectations, she recovered and now performs with the family. The testimony, he shares, continues to shape their ministry.
“In December of 2025, after being so healthy, the doctors discovered two tumors on one kidney and one on the other,” he adds. “We are not going to give up. We are not going to go home and quit. We know that ‘It’s Not Over Yet.’ The same God that healed her before can do it again.”
Written by Jason Cox, Kenna Turner West, and Brian White, “It’s Not Over Yet” is delivered through a stately Southern Gospel arrangement produced by Jeff Collins, with Dell Hyssong taking lead vocals. The song draws on biblical imagery and themes of victory, reinforcing its message of hope and endurance.
The Hyssongs continue to be known for their family harmonies, instrumental flair, and long-standing presence in Southern Gospel music, with a career spanning nearly three decades and multiple chart-topping releases.
