The world-renowned 5X GRAMMY Award-winner, Brandon Lake, is back with a musical masterpiece, his 16-track album “COAT OF MANY COLORS.” Today, this highly anticipated album is officially available on all digital and streaming platforms.
“COAT OF MANY COLORS” features a selection of tracks that have already taken the music world by storm. The album includes “PRAISE YOU ANYWHERE,” a song that shattered streaming records on Amazon Music. Just earlier this week, it claimed the number one spot on the Christian Audience Chart. You’ll also find “TEAR OFF THE ROOF,” a song whose music video portrays scenes from the hit TV show “The Chosen,” showcasing the miracles performed by Jesus.
The album’s cover art features Brandon Lake donning a coat of many colors, inspired by the idea of transforming “rags” into “riches.” The coat was meticulously designed by Greg Lauren, the nephew of the legendary Ralph Lauren.
Lake describes the central theme of “COAT OF MANY COLORS” as a reflection of the idea that we all wear a coat of many colors. It symbolizes being clothed in the Father’s love and His pride for us, where each one of us is His favorite. He draws a parallel to the story of Joseph, who was misunderstood, had dreams that got him into trouble, and learned to trust his dreams and be faithful to God. Joseph’s journey from a pit to a palace serves as a significant inspiration throughout the album.
To celebrate the album’s release, Brandon Lake hosted a pop-up shop at L&L Market in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 16. This location is home to a mural depicting the cover art, commissioned by Stephen Sloan of Never Xtinct Murals.
