Cory Asbury, a multi-platinum selling artist and GRAMMY Award Nominee, has just released the latest track from his highly-anticipated fifth studio album, “Pioneer.” Titled “My Inheritance,” this song delves into Asbury’s personal relationship with his father and contemplates whether he is destined to follow in his father’s footsteps, for better or worse.
Asbury shares, “Sometimes you have to work to write a song and sometimes the song writes you. Penned as a reminder that our true inheritance doesn’t come in the form of earthly things, ‘My Inheritance’ shows us that it doesn’t always look the way we thought it would, but God has a way of taking the messes of our lives and turning them into the most beautiful art.”
On September 27th, Cory Asbury will host a special record release show at the City National Grove of Anaheim. Following this performance, he will embark on the Texas Takeover Tour with special guest Brennley Brown. This nine-city headline tour will begin in Houston on November 2nd and traverse Texas before concluding in Kilgore on November 12th. Tickets for both the record release show and the Texas Takeover Tour are available for purchase.
Cory Asbury’s fifth studio album, “Pioneer,” is set to be released on September 15th via BEC Recordings. Drawing inspiration from Nashville’s music scene, “Pioneer” explores a new facet of Asbury’s artistry while retaining honest and impactful lyrics that resonate with the human experience. Asbury collaborated with renowned songwriters in Nashville to craft this album, resulting in a body of work that reflects his artistic heart. Pre-orders for “Pioneer” are available on CD, Vinyl, and digital platforms.
