Multi-GRAMMY Award-winning and RIAA Platinum-selling duo for KING + COUNTRY has gifted their fans with an exciting treat – the deluxe edition of their GRAMMY-nominated and American Music Award-winning album, “WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?” Now titled “WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR? +,” this expanded 17-track collection brings a fresh wave of inspirational music to listeners.
The deluxe edition includes the duo’s four consecutive #1 singles, including the Gold-certified “TOGETHER (feat. Kirk Franklin & Tori Kelly),” “RELATE,” “For God Is With Us,” and “Love Me Like I Am.” But that’s not all; fans can also look forward to two brand new original tracks: the much-anticipated title-cut, “What Are We Waiting For?” and “Better Man.” Additionally, the album features two previously released duets: the chart-topping “Love Me Like I Am (feat. The duo recently unveiled the epic music video for “What Are We Waiting For (The Single),” filmed in California’s Mojave Desert. The original “What Are We Waiting For?” album received a GRAMMY nomination for “For God Is With Us” featuring Hillary Scott of Lady A. Additionally, for KING + COUNTRY secured their first-ever American Music Award win for “Favorite Inspirational Artist,” thanks to their hit single with Jordin Sparks, “Love Me Like I Am,” which reached the Top 10 on both Billboard and Mediabase’s Adult Contemporary charts.
The excitement doesn’t end there. The duo recently announced their highly-anticipated annual holiday spectacle, “A DRUMMER BOY CHRISTMAS | THE 2023 TOUR EXPERIENCE.” Known for its extraordinary production, blending festive visuals, stunning lighting, and staging effects, this high-octane show is set to visit 16 cities across North America and Canada, spanning major markets such as Phoenix, Seattle, Houston, Las Vegas, Portland, and Minneapolis. The tour kicks off on Nov. 25 in Chicago, Ill., with tickets in high demand at some of the largest venues in the region.
In other exciting news, Joel Smallbone’s directorial debut film, “Unsung Hero,” from for KING + COUNTRY Entertainment, has been picked up by Lionsgate. The biopic, inspired by the duo’s song of the same name dedicated to their parents, follows the Smallbone family’s immigration journey from Australia to the United States and is set for theatrical release on April 26, 2024.
