Zurich-based singer-songwriter Frannie Music returns with her new single “Why Is It,” a reflective and melodic release that blends pop, worship, and acoustic influences into a song rich with emotional and spiritual depth. Known for pairing profound lyrics with catchy, heartfelt melodies, Frannie continues to create music that resonates with listeners seeking honesty, faith, and meaning.
“Why Is It” is part of a wider release cycle that will see Frannie Music unveil four new singles throughout spring 2025, including “In His Hands,” “Hope,” and “Königschind,” each dropping approximately eight weeks apart. Recorded in Carmen Fenk’s studio in fall 2024, the new material represents a deeply personal chapter in her artistic journey.
Lyrically, “Why Is It” explores the questions Frannie wrestles with in her own life—those moments of uncertainty that coexist with faith. Rather than offering easy answers, the song leans into reflection, trust, and the quiet strength found in walking with God. “Each of these songs tells a story from my life—full of hope and trust,” Frannie shares, highlighting the authenticity at the heart of her songwriting.
Raised in the Zurich Oberland, Frannie Music has been musically active since her youth. She gained extensive stage experience as a long-time vocalist with the worship band white cane, before sharpening her craft at the Voice + Music Academy in Zurich, completing the Singer’s Year in 2015 and the Teacher’s Year in 2019. Since 2021, she has also been running her own singing school in Bauma, nurturing the next generation of vocalists.
Following the release of her debut EP in summer 2022—featuring six self-written songs inspired by everyday experiences with God—Frannie Music continues to deepen the connection between music and faith. With “Why Is It,” she invites listeners into a space of reflection and encouragement, hoping her songs will inspire others to walk their own path with God, even in the midst of unanswered questions.
