Billboard Chartbreaker Katy Nichole, the singer/songwriter signed with Centricity Music, is making waves in the Christian music scene with her soul-baring honesty and exceptional artistry.
At just 23 years old, she has risen as one of the genre’s most rapidly emerging talents. Her latest radio single, “Hold On,” from her GMA Dove Award-nominated debut album “Jesus Changed My Life” has climbed to the No. 1 position on the MediaBase Christian AC Activator Chart. This achievement follows the success of her previous hit songs, “God Is In This Story” and RIAA Certified Gold-selling “In Jesus Name (God of Possible),” both from the same album.
The impactful song “Hold On” has garnered recognition from the Recording Academy (GRAMMY Awards) and premiered its companion video on K-LOVE. The song encapsulates Nichole’s personal journey of holding on during her darkest moments. It goes beyond the surface and invites listeners to look beyond the pain and struggle, focusing on a larger perspective that transcends the present difficulties.
“I know firsthand what it means to be broken and desperate,” shares Nichole. “However, I have also experienced the beauty and wonder of God redeeming and breathing life into situations that seemed utterly hopeless. I want my music to speak truth and shine a light for those going through dark times.”
Alongside her radio triumphs, Katy Nichole continues to receive acclaim, earning the distinction of being the most nominated female artist for the 54th Annual GMA Dove Awards. Her nominations include categories like New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (“In Jesus Name (God of Possible)”), Pop / Contemporary Album of the Year (“Jesus Changed My Life”), and Pop / Contemporary Recorded Song (“God Is In This Story,” a duet with Big Daddy Weave). The GMA Dove Awards ceremony is scheduled for October 17 in Nashville, with the broadcast airing on TBN on October 20.
Nichole has captivated audiences across the nation during her tours, sharing her music with tens of thousands. She has performed alongside renowned artists like Jeremy Camp and Matthew West and made her Grand Ole Opry debut last year. Additionally, she’s featured on The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast. This summer, Nichole is set to perform at major Christian festivals, fairs, and more. She will also join CAIN for a 33-city tour, commencing on September 20 in Baton Rouge, LA.
