In its 25th year, “A Home for the Holidays” continues to raise awareness about the crucial issue of adoption. Over the past quarter century, this award-winning special has shed light on thousands of American children in foster care, inspiring tens of thousands of adoptions and helping these children find their forever families.
Currently, there are nearly 400,000 children in foster care in the U.S., with over a quarter of them yearning for a permanent home. These children face challenging circumstances, with only half graduating from high school, 5% completing college, and 20% becoming homeless shortly after aging out of the system. The child welfare system is often referred to as a “highway to homelessness,” as 50% of the homeless population in the country has experienced foster care. However, with the right support and a loving home, these resilient children have the potential to overcome these odds and lead fulfilling lives.
To commemorate the silver anniversary, “A Home for the Holidays” will revisit some of the extraordinary families featured in previous years, highlighting the lasting impact of adoption and the incredible journey of these families.
Don’t miss the heartwarming and impactful 25th Annual “A Home for the Holidays” as it shares stories of hope, love, and the power of adoption. Join Lauren Daigle, CeCe Winans, and other incredible artists as they uplift and inspire audiences across the nation.
