Celebrated songwriter and artist Matthew West is set to be honored with the prestigious ASCAP Golden Note Award by the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP). This accolade recognizes West’s outstanding contributions to the music industry and his remarkable career in songwriting and performing.
Matthew West’s influence extends far beyond his own artistry. He has written songs that have been embraced by artists across various genres, including Rascal Flatts, Scotty McCreery, Casting Crowns, Michael W. Smith, and Amy Grant. With an impressive 30 #1 songs to his name, both as an artist and a songwriter, West has made a lasting impact on the music landscape.
In addition to his chart-topping success, Matthew West is known for hits like the RIAA platinum-certified single “The Motions” and the RIAA gold-certified single “Hello, My Name Is.” His work has earned him numerous accolades, including a Billboard Music Award, an American Music Award, multiple Dove Awards, and even a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.
