Gospel singer-songwriter Sonya D. Springfield is set to uplift and encourage listeners with the release of her latest single, “Joy in You,” a soul-stirring song from her debut album, Hope After Hurt.
Produced by award-winning gospel producer Phillip Carter, Hope After Hurt is a deeply personal and faith-filled collection of seven original songs that offer comfort, strength, and resilience to those facing disappointment, injustice, or everyday struggles. Each song carries a message of hope, perseverance, and divine love, reflecting Springfield’s personal journey of overcoming life’s challenges.
“These songs reflect my personal journey—moments when I needed hope and resilience and the reminder that I am not alone,” shares Springfield. “I want to echo God’s promise that we are His beloved. With our hand in His hand, everything will work out for our good, despite our struggles.”
A testament to her faith and endurance, Springfield’s music is infused with themes of redemption, healing, and spiritual renewal. From the introspective “Joy in You” to the empowering “Eligible” and the uplifting “For Freedom,” each track showcases her ability to blend soothing melodies with scripturally grounded storytelling.
With a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling and years of ministry experience as a member of Patrick Lundy & The Ministers of Music, Springfield brings both depth and authenticity to her music.
“Now, I feel ready to truly share my music with the world,” she says. “Hope After Hurt is just the beginning—I pray it will bring healing and encouragement to those who need it most.”
