Montreal-based singer-songwriter and actor Rebecca Rowley, under her liturgical jazz project TOA, is excited to announce the release of her new single, “You’re With Me – Psalm 23.” This track is a unique fusion of jazz, gospel, and folk elements, offering a fresh interpretation of the beloved Psalm 23.
“You’re With Me – Psalm 23” is part of TOA’s upcoming album Refractions, which features a series of compositions inspired by Psalms and hymns, reimagined with a blend of liturgical jazz and contemporary sounds. The project showcases Rowley’s innovative approach to spiritual music, bringing a fresh, soulful take on traditional liturgical themes.
“I wanted to create a sound that resonates with both the sacred and the contemporary,” says Rowley. “This track and the rest of the album are a way for me to reimagine timeless hymns and psalms through a jazz lens, infusing them with new life and energy.”
