Notable artist Trip Lee is back with a fresh creative masterpiece in his latest album, “The Epilogue.” This album is a poignant exploration of God’s faithfulness through life’s ups and downs, with Trip Lee touching on the pressures of life as a husband, father, artist, pastor, and author, all while managing his chronic illness. Despite it all, God’s mercy has remained and supplied him with strength.
In “The Epilogue,” Trip Lee delves into the struggle for control amidst life’s relentless pressures and the freedom that comes with surrendering it all to God. This album follows his previous release, “The End,” where he wrestled with what it’s like when we come to the end of ourselves, with no strength or plans left, and we just have to depend on God. Now, he’s exploring what comes after “The End,” and he wants to convey that there’s more to the story, and it’s worth the journey.

One of the standout tracks on “The Epilogue” is “Mercy,” a collaboration with Trip’s longtime friend and gospel music heavyweight, Kirk Franklin. This song, produced by Mashell and Enzo Gran, features infectious keys and a triumphant choir boasting of God’s mercy. Kirk Franklin offers words of encouragement at the beginning, leading into Trip’s powerful rap about God’s faithfulness in the valleys of life.
