Israeli singer, songwriter, and producer Yair Levi is inviting listeners to pause, breathe, and reconnect with what truly matters with his new single, “Back to You (Sabbath).”
Inspired by the meaning of the Sabbath, a day traditionally set aside for rest, reflection, worship, and stepping away from the demands of everyday work, the song explores the idea that sometimes, slowing down is just as important as moving forward.
Written with songwriter Ryan Hall, known for “Worthy of It All,” and produced by Kevin Embleton, “Back to You (Sabbath)” takes the biblical concept of Sabbath beyond religious boundaries and presents it as something deeply human: a chance to put life on pause, reconnect with yourself, and remember the source of your blessings.
Musically, the song blends traditional Israeli folk instruments with contemporary production, creating a warm and peaceful sound that still carries enough rhythm to move the listener. There is a sense of celebration beneath its calm atmosphere, making the track feel both reflective and uplifting.
For Levi, the song comes at a time when the pressure to constantly achieve can make genuine rest feel almost impossible.
“In our modern race for careers and achievements, we often fall into the trap of thinking that the harder we push, the more we will succeed,” Levi explains.
He believes effort is important, but that life also requires moments when we step away from the pursuit of more.
“While we must put in our own effort, the true source of our blessing is the Sabbath,” he says. “It is the day we disconnect to reconnect with ourselves and remember that God is the provider of all abundance.”
That message sits at the heart of “Back to You (Sabbath).” Rather than presenting rest simply as a break from work, Levi sees it as an opportunity to regain perspective, rediscover peace, and reconnect with God.
His hope is that the song will resonate even with people who have never personally experienced a Sabbath.
“My hope is that this song brings a sense of calm and a feeling of longing, even for those who have never physically experienced a Sabbath,” he says.

Based in Tel Aviv, Yair Levi has built his career around music shaped by his Jewish Israeli background and his deep connection to biblical themes.
Although his music was initially created with a Jewish audience in mind, Levi later began writing and releasing worship songs for a wider international Christian audience after noticing growing interest in his music among Christian listeners.
His work brings together elements of Jewish soul music, faith, and biblical values, creating a sound that crosses cultural and denominational boundaries. His songs have collectively attracted more than 8 million streams worldwide.
