Five-time GRAMMY Award-winner Brandon Lake has unveiled his latest track, “TEAR OFF THE ROOF,” offering a glimpse into his upcoming album, ‘COAT OF MANY COLORS,’ set to release on 10/20. Co-written by Brandon Lake, Chris Davenport, Jacob Sooter, Hank Bentley, and Jordan Colle, this moving song is characterized by a drum-driven, explosive melody, serving as a powerful reminder of the boundless power found in the name of Jesus.
To complement the release of “TEAR OFF THE ROOF,” Brandon Lake has premiered an accompanying music video on YouTube today at 9 am PT/12 pm ET. The music video features scenes from the hit TV show ‘The Chosen,’ showcasing the miraculous works of Jesus. Fans can pre-save ‘COAT OF MANY COLORS’ to experience the full album when it becomes available.
“‘TEAR OFF THE ROOF’ draws inspiration from multiple healing stories in the Bible,” shares Lake. “The Chosen TV series is an exceptional storyteller of the life of Jesus, making it the perfect partner to convey the message of this song, which is based on Mark Chapter 2 and Luke Chapter 8. We are immensely grateful to The Chosen for changing lives, including my own, among millions of others. Through this song, we aim to remind listeners of the transformative healing power of Jesus!”
Brandon Lake’s exceptional talent and contribution to Christian music were recently recognized at ASCAP’s Christian Music Awards, where he was honored as Songwriter of the Year. Additionally, he leads the nominations for the upcoming Dove Awards with a total of 11 nominations, including Artist of the Year. The Dove Awards ceremony is scheduled to air on October 20 on TBN, where Brandon Lake will also grace the stage with a performance.
