“Started in Late November of 2022, I began to write this song when thinking about the Nativity. How the angel appeared to Mary, giving her a promise that she would have a child and that his name would be ‘Emmanuel’. The name Emmanuel means ‘God is with us’. Very powerful isn’t it? Since it’s about the nativity and it was around Christmas time, I wanted to release it then but I felt like it wasn’t ready yet. I was able to work on it more throughout 2023 and incorporated more background story.
From the Old Testament to the New Testament, there was a period of silence and darkness and people cried out to God. I wrote it intending to encapsulate the feeling of hope that one day a light will shine through in the time of darkness. This feeling has been present throughout every moment of humanity and even more so in the present day. I hope for this song to reach the hearts of many to share a message of promise.” – Isaac Valentes, Artist So far, several early reviews have been positive and expand on the grandness behind the song, both lyrically and musically.
