Keith Christ is proud to announce the release of his new single, “Surrounded,” a heartfelt reflection on his journey of faith and healing. This song, which began production in February 2023, is a testament to the transformative power of God’s love, showcasing Keith’s resilience and determination to embrace life’s challenges.
“Surrounded” features gentle light rock melodies layered with acoustic guitars, three drum kits, three bass lines, and an impressive 53 vocal layers that create a rich, choir-like atmosphere. Drawing on his four-octave vocal range, Keith has intentionally included imperfections in the recording to capture the authentic feel of a live choir, adding character and fullness to the track.
This song encapsulates Keith’s story of reflection and gratitude for the Lord’s blessings. He shares his experiences of healing from physical and emotional struggles, including the challenges of two divorces and growing up in a household marked by domestic violence. “In the arms of affectionate love, we can go on; all things are possible,” Keith expresses, emphasizing the importance of faith and support in overcoming adversity.
Keith’s journey to healing took a significant turn on July 10, 2022, when he experienced a divine intervention that helped him overcome drug dependence and alcoholism. Since then, he has shed over 70 kilograms and adopted a healthier lifestyle, which includes a raw food and fish diet. Following a diagnosis of ASD and the impact of PTSD from a traumatic work incident, along with severe physical disabilities, Keith’s faith and miraculous recovery have allowed him to live pain-free and fully engage in life with his children, aged 10 to 22.
His renewed passion for music has led him to take bass lessons and resume singing, which has evolved into songwriting. Inspired by his life experiences and unwavering faith, Keith aims to bring God’s love and hope to others through his music.
