Christian metal project Logos is kicking off an ambitious new musical journey with the release of “Sword of the Kingdom,” the opening chapter of a 12-song series inspired by the lives and legacies of the Twelve Apostles.
Rather than telling the story of the apostles all at once, Logos plans to explore them one by one. Each song will focus on a different apostle, touching on their faith, struggles, courage, sacrifices, and, in many cases, their martyrdom.
The series will unfold gradually, with a new single arriving every two weeks. This gives listeners the opportunity to follow the story chapter by chapter while experiencing the different personalities and journeys that shaped the early Christian mission.
The first installment, “Sword of the Kingdom,” tells the story of James the Apostle, remembered for his bold faith and martyrdom. The track pairs heavy guitar riffs with orchestral layers and powerful melodies, creating a dramatic soundscape that reflects the courage and conviction associated with the apostles.
For Logos, the project is about bringing biblical history into a modern musical setting. The band hopes the combination of theology, historical storytelling, and the force of metal will give listeners a fresh way to connect with the stories of the men who helped spread the Gospel.
“Each apostle has a unique story, doubt, courage, sacrifice, and transformation,” Logos explains. “This series is our attempt to bring those stories to life with the intensity and scale they deserve.”
The Twelve Apostles Saga is expected to continue throughout the year, eventually coming together as a complete collection that traces the broader story of the apostolic mission.
