Built around themes of grace and restoration, “He Wasted Nothing” reflects on the idea that no season of life is beyond God’s ability to redeem. Harrison revealed that the song began during an emotional conversation with friend and collaborator Gable Price, while processing heartbreak and frustration over someone close to him making destructive choices.
“‘He Wasted Nothing’ is one of the more personal songs I’ve written in a while,” Harrison shared. “As the song developed, it definitely shifted from being about other people to becoming about my own life. I started reflecting on seasons where I carried shame and regret but realized the Lord doesn’t waste anything. Even the parts of our lives that we feel shameful to look back on, He can turn it around and use it for good.”
The single follows Harrison’s April release, “Christ That We Lift Higher,” another worship-centered anthem recorded in Redding, California. Together, the songs continue to showcase Harrison’s passion for leading listeners into authentic encounters with God through honesty, vulnerability, and worship.
Currently based in New York City with his wife Carling and their twins, Jack and Frances, Harrison serves as a worship leader for Bethel New York. His journey in worship ministry began at just 12 years old in his parents’ church, inspired by childhood memories of hearing his father worship on Saturday mornings. After moving to Redding in 2017 to attend BSSM and serve at Bethel Church, Harrison spent seven years immersed in worship ministry before relocating to New York at the end of 2023.
As part of the globally influential Bethel Music collective, Harrison joins a movement that has helped shape modern worship music for more than two decades. Founded by Brian and Jenn Johnson in 2001, Bethel Music has released 27 albums and become known for worship staples including “Goodness of God,” “Living Hope,” “Raise A Hallelujah,” and “No Longer Slaves.”
With “He Wasted Nothing,” Noah Paul Harrison offers a moving reminder that even brokenness, regret, and disappointment can be transformed into something meaningful through faith.
