Worship leader and celebrated songwriter Pat Barrett has exciting news for his fans. He is set to release his highly anticipated third album, “Shelter,” on October 13th via Bowyer & Bow / Capitol CMG. This upcoming album, featuring 12 studio tracks, is now available for pre-order, and to build excitement, Barrett has unveiled the new song “Scatter.”
In describing “Scatter,” Barrett shares, “This song is a declaration of who we are in Christ and what that means for our lives, regardless of the circumstances, difficulties, or situations we find ourselves in. If we are in Christ, we are a new creation, and we belong to the light. It’s amazing how darkness flees when the light has come up.”

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Pat Barrett has discovered joy in creating these new songs, including the recently released “Better Hands,” which resonates with themes of freedom and surrender. On “Shelter,” Barrett masterfully blends moments of worship with simple, joyful tunes that emphasize the power of gratitude and the fleeting nature of time.
Barrett’s heartfelt songs have not only enriched his own faith journey but have also touched the lives of countless others. His desire is for people to experience a profound connection with something greater than themselves, even in the midst of life’s everyday challenges, and to recognize that there’s a larger story unfolding.
