Provident Entertainment has announced the signing of rising worship leader Charles Weems, marking a significant milestone in his expanding music and ministry journey. Alongside the announcement, Weems releases his label debut single, “I Will Follow,” available now on all digital platforms.

The release arrives with notable early momentum, as “I Will Follow” surpassed 5,000 pre-saves ahead of its launch—an impressive achievement for a developing artist in the worship space and an early indicator of the growing anticipation around his music.

Co-written with Caylie Bryant and produced by Josh Holiday of ELEVATION RHYTHM, “I Will Follow” is a heartfelt declaration of surrender and trust, reflecting a personal season of learning to walk faithfully with God and embrace His timing.

Raised in Vero Beach, Florida, Weems comes from a strong generational legacy of ministry. With deep roots in the local church—his great-grandparents helped establish the family congregation, now led by his father—his foundation has always been shaped by worship, service, and community.

“Everything starts with the local church for me,” Weems shares. “I’ve always believed my first calling is simply to serve and to be available to God and obedient wherever He leads. My prayer is that these songs help people encounter Jesus in a real and personal way.”

Provident Entertainment President Holly Zabka praised the artist’s heart for ministry, stating: “Charles carries a rare combination of humility, authenticity, and deep spiritual conviction. From the moment we connected with him, it was clear his heart is to serve the Church first. We’re honored to partner with him and excited for people to experience these songs.”

Weems first gained widespread attention with his independently released 2024 worship anthem “Slow Me Down,” which has since accumulated over 34 million streams. Written during a season of surrender and spiritual recalibration, the song resonated widely with listeners navigating themes of trust and obedience.

Describing his songwriting as “prayers in the form of melodies,” Weems continues to craft music rooted in humility, honesty, and Spirit-led worship. His signing with Provident Entertainment signals a new chapter as he prepares to release more music centered on authentic worship and ministry impact.
