Award-winning trio CAIN has released their brand-new single, “Living Water,” available now on all major streaming platforms. The uplifting anthem delivers a timely reminder that true fulfillment is found in Jesus, who meets believers in every season and offers what the world cannot provide.
At its core, “Living Water” speaks to the human tendency to search for satisfaction in places that ultimately leave us empty — success, approval, comfort, or control. The song reframes that pursuit, pointing instead to the sustaining and renewing presence of Christ.
More than a message of spiritual longing, “Living Water” serves as a declaration of renewal and restoration. It emphasizes that even when external circumstances remain unchanged, God is able to refresh and revive the heart in an instant.
“The heart of this song is that Jesus is the prize, not Jesus giving you the prize. He is it,” shares Madison Cain Johnson of CAIN. “He’s the prayer you’re praying, the answer you need, the living water. Things, even good things, will leave you over and over again. We’ve learned that the hard way, and we’re committing to not make that mistake again this time.”
The release follows a significant season for the trio after their 2024 single “I Made It,” which celebrated God’s faithfulness through trials. While that track reflected survival and endurance, “Living Water” marks a new chapter focused on spiritual renewal and dependence on God as the ultimate source of strength.
CAIN first debuted “Living Water” at the Grand Ole Opry on May 8 and recently performed the track for Christian radio programmers at the CMB Momentum Conference. Ahead of its official release, K-LOVE featured the song as a “K-LOVE First,” spotlighting it at the top of every hour on June 4.
Known for their joyful sound and infectious energy, CAIN — comprised of siblings Taylor Cain Matz, Madison Cain Johnson, and Logan Cain — have become one of the most recognizable groups in contemporary Christian music. Since their debut, they have achieved multiple No. 1 radio singles, including “Rise Up (Lazarus)” and “Yes He Can,” while their viral hit “I’m So Blessed” has generated over 513 million short-form video views.
Their catalog includes several RIAA Gold-certified singles and the 2023 album Jesus Music, which continued their rise as leading voices in the genre. The group has toured extensively, sharing stages with Chris Tomlin, TobyMac, and Phil Wickham, and earning accolades including K-LOVE Fan Awards and multiple GMA Dove Awards.
Following the success of their “Live and In Color” tours, CAIN is set to return to the road in Fall 2026 with a new headline tour, with additional details to be announced.
