Capitol Christian Music Group’s latest addition, Rachel Mac, is making her debut with the release of her first single, “Jesus Doesn’t.” Following her successful journey as a Top 4 finalist on NBC’s The Voice, Rachel Mac is thrilled to share her newest single as her inaugural release with CCMG.
In her powerful debut single, “Jesus Doesn’t,” Rachel Mac draws from personal experiences to convey a message of overcoming shame, church hurt, and judgment. The song serves as a reminder of God’s unfailing love and the unparalleled character of Jesus. Reflecting on her own struggles, Rachel shares, “I needed a reminder that God’s character is so beyond what any human character can try to emulate. I had looked to human people to find Jesus, but ended up alone, judged, and in some cases… hated. Jesus doesn’t do that, and will never do that. He is all loving, all the time.”
As a lifelong student of music, Rachel Mac began singing and playing the piano at a young age. Her love for music and proficiency in music theory solidified as she grew older. A singer-songwriter and worship leader, Rachel can play multiple instruments. Her earliest musical memories are rooted in the church, where she and her two sisters were raised by a single father who served as a worship leader.
Sharing her excitement about the release of her debut song, Rachel Mac expresses, “Watching how many people online can relate to my own experience and this song has been so touching and humbling. I’m so happy that the song is finally yours.”
Rachel Mac made a significant impact at the age of 15 as the youngest contestant on Season 20 of The Voice. Chosen by celebrity judge Nick Jonas to be on his team, she went on to finish as a finalist in fourth place. Now, with the release of “Jesus Doesn’t,” Rachel Mac is poised to make a meaningful mark in the Christian music scene with her heartfelt and authentic approach to storytelling through music.
