Chosen Road, the acclaimed Thoroughbred Records artist, is celebrating the success of their holiday album “Appalachian Christmas,” which has secured the #14 position on Billboard’s 2023 Year-End Bluegrass Albums chart. This achievement represents the year-to-date sales of all bluegrass albums in 2023. The album, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Albums chart last year, stands alongside releases by renowned artists such as Dolly Parton, Marty Stuart, Nickel Creek, and Robert Plant/Alison Krauss in the Top 15.
“Appalachian Christmas” holds a special place for Chosen Road, as it marks a milestone for the band. After performing their annual Appalachian Christmas Tour for eight years, they decided to capture the magic of their live performances in the studio. The album takes listeners on a musical journey to their Appalachian home during the holiday season, showcasing the band’s heartfelt performances and their dedication to spreading joy through their music.
