Raleigh-based singer, songwriter, and worship leader Justin Warren has unveiled his inaugural holiday single, “The Gift of Christmas,” available from Radiate Music. The song, also aiming for radio airplay, captures the essence of the season with a nostalgic and joyful melody, emphasizing the true reason for celebrating Christmas.
Co-written with GRAMMY-nominated and two-time Dove Award-winning “Producer of the Year” Ian Eskelin, who also produced the track, along with five-time Dove Award winner Tony Wood, “The Gift of Christmas” carries a heartfelt message. Warren shares, “I love Christmas, and I love Christmas traditions. I wrote this song alongside Ian and Tony to serve as a reminder that Jesus is the true gift of Christmas.”
Reflecting on his own Christmas traditions, Warren recounts the impact of his father reading from the Bible on Christmas morning before the family delved into opening presents. This experience inspired the song’s theme, highlighting the significance of Jesus as the ultimate gift. “I can remember waking up early as a kid on Christmas Day excited to dive into the presents,” Warren recalls. “I’ll never forget how every Christmas morning before we started opening gifts my parents would sit us down, and my father would open up the Bible to Luke chapter two. He would read the account of Jesus’ birth and remind me and my sisters that Jesus is the greatest gift ever given.”
Accompanying the release, a music video for “The Gift of Christmas” premiered on The Christian Beat, offering a visual representation of the song’s heartfelt message.
