Karen Clark Sheard Receives 56th NAACP Image Awards Nomination

This week, the NAACP Image Awards announced that Karen Clark Sheard’s album Still Karen has been nominated for “Best Gospel Album.” In addition to this prestigious honor, Sheard’s hit single “Send it Down” has continued its reign at the top of the Billboard charts, maintaining the #1 spot for the second consecutive week—marking Sheard’s first solo #1 song in her career.

“Send it Down” is the first single from Sheard’s highly anticipated album Still Karen, which has been embraced by fans and critics alike for its powerful mix of gospel and contemporary sounds. Co-written by Kierra Sheard, Marc J., and J. Drew Sheard II (who also produced the track), “Send it Down” has become an anthem of hope and divine intervention, resonating deeply with gospel music lovers worldwide.
