Keith Christ is proud to announce the release of his latest single, “Where is Justice?” This energetic rock anthem, featuring dynamic fiddle and wild guitar lines, serves as a passionate protest for social justice, questioning the roles of the Church, government, and society in addressing systemic injustices.
The inspiration for “Where is Justice?” stems from a profound moment while reading Luke 11:42, which critiques meticulous attention to minor details while neglecting the fundamental principles of justice and God’s love. Keith reflects, “I’ve had it with you! You’re hopeless, you Pharisees! Frauds! […] Careful bookkeeping is commendable, but the basics are required.” The song is rooted in his experiences as a young man, engaging in homeless coffee van missions with Drug Arm, and recognizing the injustices he encountered both in Australia and abroad.
With this track, Keith channels the spirit of Peter Garrett and Midnight Oil, aiming to shine a light on the pressing social issues that persist in our world today. He urges listeners to take a stand, proclaiming, “Who will rise up? Who will make a difference? We are called to be a holy uprising and create change for future generations.”
Keith’s reflections on the challenges faced by those seeking help reveal a flawed system. He notes, “Services to assist those in need are often hard to find or require long wait times, leaving people stranded when they need support the most. Instead of competing, we should be complementing each other’s efforts.”
