GRAMMY® Award winner and new Curb Records artist Lloyd Nicks delivers another deeply transparent and emotionally honest single with “We Won’t,” available today (5/29). The new release follows his April debut “A Little More,” which is set to officially impact Christian radio on June 8.

On “We Won’t,” Nicks leans into vulnerability, confessing his struggle to feel worthy of grace while surrendering expectations and allowing space for God to move. The mid-tempo record highlights his rich, expressive vocal tone as he invites listeners and the Church into a place of honesty, freedom, and release from pretense.

The song builds toward a powerful bridge that strips everything back emotionally before rising into a final refrain of surrender. Written by Lloyd Nicks alongside Daniel Bashta and Ben Smith, with production from Kyle Williams, the track continues to shape the narrative of an artist unafraid to share his most personal truths.

Following his emotional debut “Heal For You” and the more pop-driven “A Little More,” “We Won’t” further establishes Nicks as a compelling new voice in contemporary gospel and inspirational music.

The release also draws from deeply personal experiences, including childhood trauma, his father’s long-term incarceration, the loss of his mother on his 26th birthday, and past struggles with suicidal thoughts.

“What I survived could have buried me, but God had a different plan,” Nicks shares. “I’m done hiding the parts of my story that I thought were ‘too much’ for the Church. I’m a living witness that God can use your brokenness.”

Nicks recently showcased new material at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin and Tin Pan South in Nashville. He is also scheduled to preview music for radio programmers at Momentum, the Christian Music Broadcasters (CMB) conference in Orlando, and will appear at Kingdom Bound in July.

Already a GRAMMY® winner, three-time GMA Dove Award nominee, and Billboard Music Award winner, Nicks joined Curb Records in 2025. He co-wrote CeCe Winans’ hit “That’s My King,” which spent 49 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart.

“We Won’t” is available now on all streaming platforms.
