Singer-songwriter Lauren Talley unveils her latest single for Horizon Records, “Look at the Lamb,” a powerful worship anthem born out of a moment of spiritual reflection that reshaped her perspective on ministry and the presence of God.
Recalling the inspiration behind the song, Talley shares that a video from the Passion Conference in Atlanta became a turning point in her journey.
“About three years ago, I saw a YouTube video that completely changed how I look at life and ministry,” she explains. “The Passion Conference showed a moment where the worship leaders stopped singing, fell on their faces before the Lord, and the entire stadium was overcome by the presence of God. That video taught me to pursue His presence above all else.”
Moved by that experience, Talley brought the idea for “Look at the Lamb” to songwriter Tony Wood, and together they crafted what she describes as a long-lasting anthem for the Church. The track also features a Scripture narration by Gloria Gaither, adding a reverent and timeless depth to the recording.
“The Scripture reading is the same passage read that day in Atlanta,” Talley notes.
Musically, “Look at the Lamb” unfolds as a dynamic worship experience, beginning with a hushed and intimate vocal tone before building into a soaring, cinematic crescendo. The song centers on the majesty of Christ and the call to fix one’s attention on Him.
The lyrics reflect that focus:
Look at the Lamb, Heaven’s King
Here with us, light from his face
His great heart full of love
Eyes filled with grace
He has come to seek and save
Isn’t Jesus so amazing
Isn’t Jesus glorious
He’s Messiah
He is mercy
He’s the only worthy one
Talley says her prayer for the song is simple: “I pray all else disappears as you ‘Look at the Lamb.’”
“Look at the Lamb” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
