Keith Christ is excited to announce the release of his new single, “Worship in the Daily Grind,” an experimental acid jazz funk anthem infused with vibrant brass, soulful keys, and captivating sax solos. This track serves as a reminder that every moment of our lives can be an act of worship, even in the midst of our daily routines.
Written on a Wednesday morning during his early devotions while reading the book of Daniel from his Hebrew Bible, Keith was inspired by Daniel 8:27, where he reflects on the prophet’s overwhelming vision and his subsequent commitment to honoring God and fulfilling his duties, even while grappling with deep emotional turmoil.
Keith notes, “Daniel, in that state of affairs, chose to set his heart on God and carried out his daily grind as an act of worship.”
In “Worship in the Daily Grind,” Keith poses thought-provoking questions about our daily lives: Are our hearts and eyes set on God? Are we honoring Him in our interactions with our spouses, employers, teachers, and community leaders? He challenges listeners to consider how they approach their responsibilities and whether they bring their best selves to these moments.
Keith encourages us to reflect on our attitudes—do we create a positive aroma in our environments, or do we leave an unpleasant taste in people’s mouths?
