Singer-songwriter Matthew West is revving up for a high-octane performance as he takes the stage to perform the National Anthem and deliver the pre-race Invocation at NASCAR’s playoff showdown, the Bank of America ROVAL™ 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 8. In addition to his NASCAR appearance, West releases a duet version of his current single, “You Changed My Name,” featuring Jon Reddick.
This week, West received ASCAP’s prestigious Golden Note Award, a recognition reserved for songwriters, composers, and artists who have achieved extraordinary career milestones. Past recipients include music legends like Garth Brooks, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Reba, Jay-Z, and Usher. West also celebrated his 30th number one song as an artist-songwriter combined with Big Daddy Weave’s “Heaven Changes Everything.”
West’s latest album, MY STORY YOUR GLORY, is making waves with 22 tracks, combining personal experiences and stories shared by fans. Part one, MY STORY, reflects these stories, while part two, YOUR GLORY, marks his first official Gospel worship album. West is hitting the road for the MY STORY YOUR GLORY Fall Tour, joined by special guest Micah Tyler.
