“The Mystery of Christ” is an extraordinary live project that brings together worship leaders and thought leaders from the United States, the United Kingdom, and South America. Recorded live in Nashville, this latest album by REVERE aims to address the shift in worship from being a profound act of surrender to becoming a catalyst for growth within the modern Church. REVERE’s mission is to redirect worshipers toward the awe-inspiring presence of God, where human philosophies and popularity take a back seat, and all attention is drawn to the source of our reverence.
Gilbert Nanlohy, the leader of REVERE, remarks, “The human mind desires to comprehend, understand, and control everything. However, the mystery of Christ consistently defies human attempts. Just as we think we are beginning to fathom God, we are humbly reminded that His ways are beyond our understanding.” This new album features 14 songs that revolve around the themes of God’s reverence and the enigmatic nature of Christ. Notably, it includes three captivating versions of “Behold King of Glory” in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. These songs are crafted to inspire the Church on their journey of exploration into the mysteries of Christ—His holiness, beauty, faithfulness, and glory hidden within everyday life.
“The Mystery of Christ” brings together a talented lineup of artists, including Laura Hackett Park, Mitch and Steph Wong, Carrington Gaines, Phil Thompson, Julia Vitória, David and Nicole Binion, Becky Collazos, Joseph Espinoza, Gabi Sampaio, Gabriel Guedes, Leeland Mooring, May Angeles, Becca Folkes, Thrive Worship, Geoffrey Golden, and Mark Alan Schoolmeesters. The live recording event also featured a compelling sermon on the fear of the Lord by John Bevere, which is included on the album.
In addition to John Bevere’s message, REVERE’s YouTube channel features additional insights from Addison and Juli Bevere, Mitch and Steph Wong, Laura Hackett Park, Jason Upton, Jack Mooring, and Joel Muddamalle.
