American Gospel singer Tamela Mann is celebrating the recent RIAA certification of her chart-topping single, “Take Me to The King.”
This iconic song, penned by Gospel legend Kirk Franklin and featured on her album “Best Days,” has achieved the esteemed status of Double Platinum certification, signifying the sale of over two million copies since its release on June 12, 2012.
Expressing her gratitude, Tamela stated, “What an amazing blessing to receive this very special recognition. I’m honored Kirk and I got to collaborate on this song, and I’m so thankful for the love and support of our fans who helped make this happen. I couldn’t have done it without everyone.”
This ballad marked a significant collaboration between Tamela and Kirk since the songstress embarked on her solo career. The dynamic duo is also known for other hits like “God Provides,” a No. 1 song from Tamela’s chart-topping album “One Way,” and “Superheroes Prayer” from her latest release, “Overcomer.”
