Christian pop artist Forrest Frank is giving fans an early taste of his upcoming album The Jesus Generation with the release of his new single, “What a Life,” via River House Records.
Selected by fans as the first track they wanted to hear from the forthcoming project, “What a Life” is an upbeat expression of gratitude. The song brings together lively brass arrangements, jazzy horns and catchy pop melodies, while maintaining the playful blend of pop and R&B that has become central to Frank’s sound.
The release offers another example of his approach to Christian music, combining accessible melodies and contemporary production with a message rooted in faith. “What a Life” arrives ahead of The Jesus Generation, scheduled for release on December 4 through River House Records. The album continues Frank’s ambition to build community and introduce more people to Christ through music that brings together different sounds and styles.
Early previews of the project have also revealed an impressive list of collaborators, including Lecrae and KB, JVKE, Michael W. Smith, ZVC and Elevation Rhythm. The range of names points to a project that brings together different generations and corners of the Christian music scene.
The album also follows Frank’s The Jesus Generation stadium and arena tour, which reportedly sold more than 470,000 tickets within 10 days of its announcement. The production ranked No. 5 on Pollstar’s LIVE75 chart and No. 12 on the Global Concert Pulse chart, with Billboard describing it as a standout concert experience.
Fans will also get an opportunity to experience the tour beyond the stage through The Jesus Generation Tour Movie. Set to arrive in cinemas in 2027, the film is being released through Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company.
Frank’s growing reach is reflected in his streaming and award achievements. He has accumulated more than 4.2 billion global catalogue streams, received five GMA Dove Awards and earned three GRAMMY Award nominations. He has also recorded more entries on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart than any other artist.
