Gospel artist and songwriter Carol Pearl Dike released her debut album, The Holy Trinity, on May 15, 2026, introducing a five-track project she describes not as a product of ambition, but as an act of obedience to God.
The album represents a significant transformation in Dike’s musical journey. After graduating from university, she spent several years writing social songs rooted in R&B. Her creative direction changed following what she describes as a defining spiritual encounter, when she felt called to stop placing her trust solely in worldly pursuits and instead dedicate her work to God’s vineyard.
At first, Dike hesitated. She had never considered herself a gospel songwriter and questioned whether she knew how to create music in the genre. According to the artist, the reassurance she received was simple: she could. Four years later, following a retreat at her local church during Holy Week, Dike began writing gospel music seriously. The experience quickly became a remarkable creative period. Within a single week, she had written all five songs that would eventually form The Holy Trinity.
For Dike, the speed at which the project came together reinforced her belief that the album was divinely inspired. Each track carries its own message, while the project as a whole reflects Dike’s desire to communicate faith, compassion, and the teachings of Christ through original music.
One of the album’s defining songs is “Lend a Helping Hand,” a track inspired by the teaching of Jesus in Matthew 25:35–40. The song draws attention to Christ’s call to care for people who are hungry, vulnerable, overlooked, or in need, emphasizing the connection between serving others and serving God.
That message sits at the center of Dike’s wider purpose as a gospel artist. With The Holy Trinity, she hopes to teach and spread the word of God, win souls for Christ, and uplift the poor by responding to their needs. Her approach to gospel music is therefore deeply humanitarian, with songwriting serving not only as worship but also as a means of encouraging compassion and practical care for others.
Although Dike considers herself to be at the beginning of her gospel music journey, she hopes listeners will connect with the sincerity and originality behind the project. Rather than following existing formulas, she sees the album as a collection of songs that came through a personal journey of faith and spiritual transformation.
Dike’s transition into gospel music marks a major change from the social and R&B-inspired songs she once wrote. Her story is ultimately one of redirection. A spiritual turning point led her away from the path she had previously imagined and toward music she now believes was entrusted to her for a greater purpose.
That sense of purpose remains evident throughout The Holy Trinity. The project is less concerned with establishing Dike as a new music personality and more focused on communicating what she believes to be the message behind the songs.
Originally from Abia State, Nigeria, Carol Pearl Dike was born in Isiekenesi, Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State. She holds a degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and is married to pharmacist Ephraim Dike. Together, they have children.
For an artist who once questioned whether she could write gospel music, the completion of five songs in a single week became the beginning of a new musical calling.
Now, through The Holy Trinity, Dike hopes the songs will do more than entertain. She wants them to encourage listeners to discover the love of Christ, strengthen their faith and, importantly, extend a helping hand to those who need it most.
