Provident Entertainment has welcomed rising Christian hip-hop artist Skema Boy to its roster, marking a new chapter in his musical journey. To celebrate the signing, the rapper has also released his first single under the label, titled “Worthy,” now available on major digital streaming platforms.

The new partnership represents a significant milestone for the emerging artist, who has steadily built an audience through his faith-driven approach to hip-hop and rap. Reacting to the announcement, Skema Boy described the signing as a blessing and an opportunity to take his music and ministry to another level.

“Signing with Provident is a blessing I don’t take lightly,” he shared. “This is the next level for everything God is doing through this music, and I’m more locked in than ever. We’re going to push Jesus harder than ever before, and we’re just getting started.”

Known for combining Christian hip-hop with bold, energetic production, Skema Boy explores themes of freedom, redemption and grace. His growing catalogue includes releases such as “God’s Army,” “Wristwatch” and “Blimp,” which have helped him attract hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners and accumulate tens of millions of streams.

Provident Entertainment President Holly Zabka expressed excitement about bringing the artist into the label’s family, highlighting his personal journey and ability to communicate Christian messages through hip-hop.

“We knew we wanted to be part of the way Skema Boy uniquely connects with his audience,” Zabka said. She also praised his ability to bring lyrics about Jesus to life through rap, adding that the label looks forward to supporting his continued growth and impact.

Skema Boy’s debut Provident Entertainment release, “Worthy,” introduces listeners to the next phase of his musical journey. The track was written by Skema Boy alongside Wes Writer and Quinten Coblentz, incorporating a sample of Michael W. Smith’s “Agnus Dei.”

Production was handled by WEARETHEGOOD, Wes Writer and Quinten Coblentz, bringing together a creative team to deliver the new faith-centred offering.

Born Nathanael Volf, Skema Boy is originally from Guilford, Connecticut, and currently lives in Maui, Hawaii. Adopted at birth, he spent much of his early life searching for identity and a sense of worth while also navigating mental health challenges.

Music eventually became an important outlet for him. Before fully embracing Christian music, he spent years creating secular releases while maintaining a full-time job and pursuing his ambitions as an independent artist.

However, his direction changed in 2021 following what he describes as a profound encounter with the Holy Spirit during a quiet moment in his bedroom. The experience led him to surrender his musical abilities to Jesus and give his music a new purpose centred on sharing the Gospel.

Another defining moment came in October 2025, when Skema Boy felt called to pursue music professionally. He stepped away from his job, trusting that God would guide his next steps. Just days later, he received a message from Brandon Lake inviting him to collaborate.

Their resulting collaboration, “No Idols,” opened another door, leading to Skema Boy joining Lake’s King of Hearts fall tour. The experience further strengthened his belief in following God’s direction and trusting His timing.

In early 2026, the rapper signed with Rixon Entertainment Group for artist management, a partnership that helped facilitate his move to Provident Entertainment. Rixon Entertainment Group founder Marcus Rixon recalled recognising something special in the artist from their initial conversation.

With his new label partnership and “Worthy” now available, Skema Boy is looking to expand his reach while remaining committed to his central mission: using hip-hop to lift up the name of Jesus and inspire revival.
