Portland-based worship collective Our Church Youth is inviting listeners into a powerful moment of youth worship with its new live release, “Heaven Come – Live.” Recorded during a summer camp gathering featuring middle school students from five church campuses, the song captures the excitement, joy and spiritual atmosphere of a memorable week.
Rather than taking place in a conventional concert venue, the recording was made in a humble cabin auditorium, bringing together young worshippers from Beaverton Christian Church, Willamette Christian Church, Hope City, New Hope and All City. The result is an energetic live performance that reflects the genuine voices and enthusiasm of the students involved.
At its heart, “Heaven Come” began as a prayer. The song was written with the desire for God’s presence to fill the camp throughout the week, and it eventually became part of what the collective describes as a life-changing experience for the students. Capturing that moment through a live recording allowed the group to preserve the atmosphere and share it with listeners beyond the camp.
“Heaven Come – Live” also offers an introduction to Our Church Youth’s upcoming project, Come Alive, which was recorded during the churches’ summer camp. The wider project aims to capture the spirit of a gathering that leaves young people inspired, changed and eager to experience more of God’s presence.
Our Church Youth is a worship movement based in Portland, Oregon, built around songs inspired by real stories of life change across its five church campuses. With a particular focus on students and young adults, the collective creates music that speaks to a generation navigating a world it believes needs the love and hope of Jesus.
Its sound is modern and flexible, with an openness to exploring different musical directions rather than staying within familiar worship conventions. Although relatively new as a band, the collective is keen to bring a fresh perspective to contemporary worship music while keeping its message rooted in faith and community.
