Island Tribe Collective, the Caribbean worship movement founded by international gospel artist Sherwin Gardner, has officially partnered with Tyscot Records as the legendary gospel label approaches its 50th anniversary.
The partnership marks a significant milestone for Caribbean gospel music, positioning Island Tribe Collective on a larger international platform while expanding the global reach of worship music rooted in Caribbean culture and sound.
Bringing together artists and worship leaders from across the Caribbean, including Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, The Bahamas, St. Lucia, Haiti, and other islands, the Collective was created to unify regional voices through worship while reflecting the unique rhythms and spiritual traditions of the Caribbean.
The group has already begun gaining attention through its debut release, “Living Proof,” which blends contemporary worship with Caribbean musical influences in a style designed to resonate across cultures and congregations worldwide.
“This moment is deeply meaningful for us,” Gardner said in a statement. “What started as a vision to unify the Caribbean in worship is now stepping onto a global stage. Partnering with Tyscot is not just an opportunity, it’s alignment.”
He added that the collaboration represents an opportunity to amplify a Caribbean worship sound that has long existed within the region but is now reaching wider global audiences.
Tyscot Records President Bryant Scott also praised the partnership, describing Island Tribe Collective as a movement carrying “authenticity, excellence, and a clear sense of purpose.”
Founded in 1976, Tyscot Records is one of the most respected independent gospel labels in the United States and has played a major role in shaping modern gospel music over the past five decades.
The collaboration signals a new chapter for both organizations, with plans for future music releases, live recordings, and international collaborations already in development.
Industry observers view the partnership as part of a broader expansion of global worship music, where regional sounds and cultural expressions are increasingly influencing mainstream contemporary gospel and church music.
For Island Tribe Collective, the agreement reinforces its mission to present Caribbean worship as both locally rooted and globally relevant.
Many islands. One sound. One worship.
