Natalie Layne, a pop artist, songwriter, pianist, worship leader, and producer, is beginning a new phase in her career with the launch of her five-track EP, Still Running To You, which will be released on September 9, 2026, through Centricity Music.

Now available on all streaming and digital platforms is “Still Running To You”, the lead single and title track of the project, allowing listeners an early insight into an EP which focuses on perseverance, faith, and the quiet strength discovered by following Jesus over time.

For Layne, this new project is a more mature version of the sound she has been developing, still retaining the joy and musicality which have become central to her artistry; the songs examine what it means to remain faithful through the various seasons of life and give encouragement to those listeners who are still growing, questioning and taking their next steps in faith.

Layne, who is a musician trained in the classical style and is from Colorado and now lives in Nashville, co-produced the EP and carried out the recording with a real band consisting of experienced musicians who performed in the same room. This method endows Still Running To You with an organic and collective character, combining influences from 1990s Christian music, gospel, jazz, funk and R&B.

As Layne points out, there are still many happy songs, but it can also be seen as a more mature expression of that same style. There are definitely new elements now, and I’m having more fun creating music than I ever have in my life at the moment, something that I believe people will be able to pick up on too.

The EP begins with the song ‘Big World’, which is a horn-based celebration of connection and common faith; ‘You Stayed’ takes a more inward approach by focusing on the importance of staying faithful throughout the long journey rather than merely highlighting the dramatic instances of transformation.

The five-song collection ends with the title track, “Still Running To You”, which was co-written by Layne together with David Spencer and the up-and-coming artist SOFYKA; the song includes elements of the well-loved hymn “Blessed Assurance”, a piece that has become especially significant to Layne.

The main aim of the project is to make listeners aware that each faith journey has worth, even when the stories involved aren’t characterised by dramatic struggles.

Layne says, “I would like the children of the church to understand that their story is of real significance.” “It may be more a matter of what God has kept them from than of what he has given them. There’s no doubt that every salvation story is a miracle, and everyone has the story which is meant for them.”

The way it is presented means that Still Running To You makes a point which goes beyond ordinary testimony stories; the project is aimed at people who have always been brought up in a religious environment, at those who are now rediscovering their faith, and at everyone else who is still making steady progress in their pursuit of Jesus.
