Soul-inspired pop artist, songwriter, pianist, worship leader and producer Natalie Layne is stepping into a new chapter of her artistry with the release of her five-song EP, Still Running To You, arriving September 9, 2026 via Centricity Music.

The project’s lead single and title track, “Still Running To You,” is available now on streaming and digital platforms, giving listeners an early introduction to an EP centered on perseverance, faith and the quiet strength found in continuing to follow Jesus over time.

For Layne, the new project represents a more mature expression of the sound she has been developing while maintaining the joy and musicality that have become central to her artistry. The songs explore what it means to remain faithful through different seasons of life, offering encouragement to listeners who are still growing, questioning and taking their next steps in faith.

A classically trained musician and Colorado native now based in Nashville, Layne co-produced the EP and recorded the project with a live band of experienced musicians performing together in one room. That approach gives Still Running To You an organic, communal quality, blending influences from ’90s Christian music, gospel, jazz, funk and R&B.

“There are still a lot of joyful songs, but also, it’s just a more mature version of that sound,” Layne says. “There are new colors for sure. I’m having more fun making music than I ever have in my life right now, and I think people will hear that, too.”

The EP opens with “Big World,” a horn-driven celebration of connection and shared faith. “You Stayed” turns inward, reflecting on the significance of remaining faithful through the long journey rather than focusing only on dramatic moments of transformation.

The title track, “Still Running To You,” closes the five-song collection. Co-written by Layne alongside David Spencer and emerging artist SOFYKA, the song incorporates elements of the beloved hymn “Blessed Assurance,” which has become particularly meaningful to Layne.

At the heart of the project is a desire to remind listeners that every faith journey has value, including stories that may not be defined by dramatic struggles.

“I want church kids to know their story is really meaningful,” Layne shares. “Maybe it’s not as much about what God has brought them through but about what he’s kept them from. Every salvation story is a miracle, for sure, and everybody has the story they’re meant to have.”

That perspective gives Still Running To You a message that reaches beyond traditional testimony narratives. The project speaks to listeners who have grown up in faith, those rediscovering it, and anyone continuing to pursue Jesus one step at a time.

Rather than presenting faith as a finished destination, Layne embraces the ongoing nature of the journey. Her songs draw from her own experiences while leaving room for listeners to find their own stories within them.

“I’m writing songs based on my life and songs that are real to me, but I hope they relate to everyone,” she says. “Music is a great connector.”

With its combination of soulful pop, gospel warmth, live instrumentation and personal songwriting, Still Running To You introduces a confident and increasingly mature side of Natalie Layne while keeping her music rooted in joy, community and faith.
