K-LOVE Fan Awards nominees and Christian radio chart-toppers Consumed By Fire release their heartfelt new single, “Letters To Heaven,” available everywhere today. Dropping just in time for the holiday season, the song captures the bittersweet emotions many experience during a time of celebration, reflecting the longing for loved ones who have passed.
Written by Jordan and Caleb Ward alongside Brian White and produced by award-winning producer and Red Street CEO Jay DeMarcus, “Letters To Heaven” delivers a tender and cinematic worship experience. The chorus resonates with raw vulnerability:
“Cause I’ve got all these words / Running through my head / Things that I wish that I would’ve said / God, I’m not sure how this works / But could ya push this one through? / Could you talk to them / While I’m talking to you / There will be a day that we’ll all be together / Til then is there a postman or a stamp in forever / I’ve got letters to Heaven”
Jordan Ward shares the story behind the song: “It’s been an amazing past couple of years for us as a family. One day last year, the guys and I were giving praise to God and expressing our thankfulness. I remember saying, ‘God, let Dad see all of this goodness happening for our family. I don’t know exactly how it works, but if I could send a letter to Heaven, this is what I’d want to tell him.’ We’ve all felt that longing for loved ones gone ahead of us. Dad used to say, ‘When that day comes that I go home to be with Jesus, just know that I’m still very much alive. I’ve just changed addresses—and I’ll be cheering you on from the grandstands of Heaven.’ We believe that wholeheartedly.”
“Letters To Heaven” follows the group’s recent single, “Higher Places,” which is slated to hit Christian radio in January 2026. With its emotional depth, soaring vocals, and poignant lyrics, the track offers listeners a reflective, hope-filled reminder that even in loss, God’s presence and promises endure.
