Eleven-time GRAMMY-nominated artist Tauren Wells is giving listeners another taste of his forthcoming live album with the release of “Here Comes the Church,” the project’s title track featuring Tiffany Hudson of Elevation Worship.

The new live recording captures the atmosphere of a sold-out night, with Wells using the song to celebrate the idea of church as a community built around relationships, faith and belonging. The track arrives ahead of Here Comes The Church, which is scheduled for release on October 2.

For Wells, the song carries a particularly personal meaning. He describes it as one of his favorite tracks on the album because of his enduring love for the church and the people who make up its community. While acknowledging that life within the church can come with difficult experiences, including conflict, hurt, and the need for forgiveness, he focuses on the relationships that ultimately make the community meaningful.

Tiffany Hudson adds her vocals to the recording, bringing another dimension to the live performance and helping create the large-scale energy Wells wanted to capture from the night. The result is a track that reflects both the excitement of the room and Wells’ personal perspective on what church can represent at its best.

“Here Comes the Church” follows the release of “What A Miracle Feels Like (Live)”, Wells’ collaboration with Naomi Raine. That single collected one million streams during its first week and reached No. 1 on the Vevo video charts, setting the stage for the next preview of the live album.

The forthcoming Here Comes The Church project is expected to bring together Wells’ contemporary Christian sound with the live energy that has become a major part of his performances. Known for blending gospel, pop, hip-hop, and R&B, the artist has built a career around music that connects faith with modern sounds.

The release also comes during a busy period for Wells. On October 6, he will return to the GMA Dove Awards, where he will serve as host for a record fourth consecutive year while also taking the stage for a special performance.

Wells enters the ceremony with two nominations this year. He is nominated for Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year for “Sunday Morning” with Pastor Mike Jr and Worship Album of the Year for Breathe On It. The nominations bring his total to 20 as a solo artist.

Following the Dove Awards, Wells will take the new music on the road as the headliner of the Air1 Worship Now Tour. The 20-date tour begins October 10 in Frederick, Maryland, and includes stops in cities such as Nashville, Louisville, San Antonio, and Fresno before wrapping up in Corona, California, on November 13.

The tour will mark Wells’ first full run built around the music from Here Comes The Church, while also allowing audiences to hear established favorites including “Known” and “Famous For (I Believe).”

With more than 2.5 billion global streams, seven No. 1 radio hits, eight GMA Dove Awards and 11 GRAMMY nominations, Wells has established a substantial presence in contemporary Christian music. His RIAA-certified catalog includes platinum singles “Known” and “Hills and Valleys,” alongside gold-certified releases such as “God’s Not Done With You,” “Famous For (I Believe)” and “Take It All Back.”

Beyond his recording career, Wells is also a bestselling author and faith leader who has collaborated with artists including H.E.R., Elevation Worship, Lecrae and TobyMac. He has previously shared stages and toured with major artists including Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey.

With “Here Comes the Church” now available, Tauren Wells is bringing listeners closer to the live experience behind his upcoming album while putting community and relationships at the centre of its message. Here Comes The Church arrives October 2, with Wells continuing to carry its music onto stages across the country this fall.
